COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES
Communication is so challenging:
- English words can have many meanings
- Speakers and listeners have filters (which can alter the intended message)
- Tone of voice and body language can have huge impact on the transfer of meaning
- Listening for facts and feelings is vital.
- Speak very clearly and listen with relaxed concentration
- Feedback my interpretation and understanding of the message
- Ask clarifying questions.

Motivation
There has been much discussion as to whether we can motivate others.
Perhaps they can only motivate themselves.
We can however work with our team to create an environment which is conducive to motivation. We can create a positive workplace that is professional, respectful, well organised and has effective communication/listening. Feedback needs to be balanced, helpful and constructive. People and their achievements should not be taken for granted.
As always, be motivated myself so that I'm walking the talk.
